Calendar - where you can create appointments, meetings, even online Teams meetings.
Contacts - you can build a list of contacts here.
Click on the three lines (known as the ‘hamburger’ menu) to bring out the navigation menu - this allows you to move between Inbox, Sent Items, etc.
If you like to arrange your email into folders, right-click Inbox and choose ‘Create new subfolder’.
It’s good to set up an email signature
Click the cog icon at the top-right of the Outlook window, and scroll down to ‘View all Outlook settings‘
Select ‘Email’, then ‘Compose and reply’ - you’re presented with a text box in which you can create a signature.
Download this file and copy the text from the file into your signature area. Edit it to reflect your own information. Tick the ‘automatically include’ box, and click ‘Save’ to finish.
You can also set Automatic replies in this menu - if you are going to be away for an extended period, you might want to set up an automatic reply to notify anyone emailing you when you expect to be returning. Or, if you are only available on certain days and will not always be able to answer emails quickly, you could set an automatic reply to notify people about your working hours, or to set expectations on how quickly they may expect a response.
